U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy will speak to students on campus Thursday to rally support for Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
Kennedy, who will speak in the Union Parlor at 4 p.m., is Kerry's fellow Senator in Massachusetts.
Kennedy is expected to speak about why Kerry should be the Democratic candidate to face President Bush in the November presidential election.
Students for Kerry member Jason Hauser said Kennedy also will discuss issues relevant to Michigan, such as education, jobs, environment and health care.
Kennedy will be the second Kerry supporter to hold an event on campus in preparation for the Michigan Democratic caucus, which is Feb. 7. In December, Kerry's daughter Vanessa spoke to students and staff on campus in support of her father.
