A 20-year-old student reported he lost nearly $2,000 due to identity fraud between January 2005 and April 20, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student reported his relative, a 38-year-old Pennsylvania man, used the student's name and Social Security number to open accounts with Sprint and JPMorgan Chase bank. The suspect has not been contacted and the case is still under investigation. A 19-year-old student reported his wallet was stolen from IM Sports-East between 4:20 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student reported he left his wallet unattended on a treadmill. The loss is estimated at $95 and there are no suspects.A 58-year-old Lansing man was issued a trespassing ticket when he was found in a Dumpster outside Bailey Hall at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The man already had a trespassing letter from last year, prohibiting him from entering campus.Melissa Domsic
