MIDDAY UPDATE: Young politicians hope to make office this November

November 2, 2006

Some MSU students have very ambitious extracurricular activities this semester.

From Michigan's House of Representatives to MSU's Board of Trustees, aspiring students and local young politicians are hoping to make office this November and make changes they feel are needed. But convincing voters to judge them by their viewpoints and not by their age is sometimes a challenge.

MSU political theory and constitutional democracy senior Eric Gregory is a state representative candidate running for the 41st District seat. Recently graduated student John Knowles is a state representative running for the 69th District seat. Social relations sophomore Lauren Spencer is running for one of two seats on the MSU's Board of Trustees.
