With all the national attention the Spartans received for beating No. 1 Wisconsin, it seems only natural that ESPN rolls into East Lansing for Saturday's game against Indiana.
The network's "College GameDay" show will be on MSU's campus this weekend, broadcasting live from inside Breslin Center.
The show hosted by Rece Davis and analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Hubert Davis is in its third year and will be making its first visit to campus. It's the second time "College GameDay" will be at an MSU game this season. On Jan. 27, the broadcast was in Columbus, Ohio, as Ohio State defeated MSU, 66-64.
Doors for the event open at 9:30 a.m., and admission is free. The show will go live at 11 a.m. from the Breslin Center floor. The four-person show will go live again at 8 p.m. from the concourse level of the arena. Tip-off for the Spartans' game with the Hoosiers is scheduled for 9 p.m.
While college basketball's version of GameDay has only a few years under its belt, the college football version has been in existence for almost 20 years.
MSU has struggled recently when "College GameDay" has come to East Lansing for football. On Nov. 19, 2005, MSU lost the season finale to Penn State, 31-22, while ESPN's show was on campus. "College GameDay" also was on hand when Notre Dame came into Spartan Stadium and handed MSU a seven-point loss in 2004.
