Any type of momentum going into the Big Ten Tournament has been shattered.

The MSU men’s basketball team tripped and fell down the stretch as Ohio State pulled the rug from underneath the Spartans’ feet, snatching a 63-54 victory Sunday afternoon at Value City Arena in Columbus.

Once again, our turnovers come back to plague us…on the road again…I’ve been preaching it all year…even in this game, we were way up, but our early turnovers kept them in the game even before our second-half debacle. So as it stands, we are garbage on the road, and indestructible on our home court. Let’s hope (against hope) that our team can show up to what they are capable of at a NEUTRAL site…anyone else have ulcers/heartburn from this team this year’s inconsistency?

You know several people mention the band wagon with this team. All true Spartans bleed Green and White win or lose. The problem is the INconsistency. If we know we should win we should win. If we know we have a bad team we expect a fight. Its the we should win and we don’t that kills us. It kills the analyst support which is nice to have but we don’t need. It kills TV coverage. But one thing it doesn’t kill is the faith of its TRUE Fans. Play hard boys. Go State!

For whatever the reasons that cause MSU to lose the only 3 loses this year that are hard to swallow for me are Iowa, PSU and OSU. MSU is better than those teams period. They should not have lost to them. Purdue, Indiana and Wisc on their home court, I can live with those, they are good teams and one good argue better(well maybe not Indiana). The non-conf lose to UCLA was atleast a solid game (UCLA was a lucky team this year and got several calls to go their way in the Pac 10). I am still looking forward to watching some solid performance from these guys during the Big 10 tourney and I hope to see MSU atleast a sweet 16. Go Green, Go White !!!!!
