Indiana's White wins Big Ten Player of Year
Indiana Hoosiers senior forward D.J. White was announced as the Big Ten Player of the Year on Monday.
The award was decided by unanimous voting by coaches and the media. White is the first Hoosier to receive the award since Jared Jeffries in 2002.
White led the Big Ten in rebounding (10.7 rebounds per game) and is second in scoring (17.8 points per game). He finished the regular reason averaging a double-double.
White shot his way to 19th on the school’s all-time scoring list this year with 1,402 points.
