East Lansing police have ruled the death of a 21-year-old Lansing man who jumped from a downtown parking ramp Thursday a suicide.
Michael Cannon Hunter died Thursday evening after jumping from the City Center parking ramp on Charles Street, East Lansing police Capt. Tom Johnstone said.
Police and fire department personnel responded to a report at about 6 p.m. that someone had fallen from the parking ramp. Medical personnel began working to save Hunter, but he was pronounced dead at Sparrow Hospital at 6:30 p.m., Johnstone said.
“It sounds like he was kind of troubled,” Johnstone said.
