Senior gets perfect 10 on Senior Day
By Cash Kruth (Last updated: 03/09/08 9:44pm)Senior Rhiannon Banda-Scott ended her home MSU gymnastics career with a little taste of perfection by scoring a perfect 10 on the vault during Senior Night.
Banda-Scott’s perfect 10 came in the first rotation and helped vault MSU to a 196.35-193.475 victory over New Hampshire Sunday at Jenison Field House.
Sophomore Rochelle Robinson led the Spartans in the bars with 9.875 while freshman Nicole Argiros posted a 9.825. Sophomores Megan Bergland and Emily Lopatofsky also scored 9.775 each.
Banda-Scott’s score was just the second perfect 10 in program history, and came on a night when she and fellow seniors Bethany Little and Megan McNally were honored in a pre-meet ceremony.
Robinson has the other perfect 10 for MSU, which she earned last season at the Fox Run Invitational as a freshman.
The Spartans travel to Auburn on March 15, then Arkansas on March 21 for the final two meets of the regular season.
