Marti Heil was appointed interim vice president for university development at the MSU Board of Trustees meeting Friday.
She will replace Charles Webb, who left MSU after accepting the position of president at Spring Arbor University in February.

MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon said a search committee for a permanent vice president is being developed.
Heil has been MSU’s associate vice president for university development since 1996.
