MSU named Carole Bolin director of MSU’s Diagnostic Center for Population and Animal Health, or DCPAH, effective Tuesday.
Bolin has been chief of the center’s bacteriology and mycology section since 2000. She will replace Willie Reed, who left MSU to become dean of Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
“The DCPAH is a critical bridge between veterinary practitioners and the pets and livestock they work with, and the problem-solving world of academic veterinary medicine,” Bolin said in a statement.
Bolin received a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Purdue in 1982.
