As of late, the Olympic torch has looked more like a celebrity being chased by paparazzi or a controversial politician on the run than a historic symbol of a global athletic competition. In Paris, Olympic officials extinguished the flame and put it on a bus to avoid the crowds before they canceled a leg of its tour of Paris. Before the torch arrived in San Francisco, daring protesters climbed the Golden Gate Bridge to unfurl a giant banner that read “One World, One Dream, Free Tibet.”

Highlight China issues doesn’t outshine U.S. issues.

Tibet was FREED from fuedulism 50 years ago. Fuedulism..eh, ...you name it. The holly prick then fled to India in aid of CIA.....should we call such a person traitor? Read some history, walkout to those places, not stay with the media. Fasts were distort in Iraq, Darfur….. now comes Tibet for the dirty politics.

As far as I know, no T-back is FREE!

the Olympics are solely for athletes, not for politics.

this whole Tibet bit is getting real old. Stay out of China’s issues. Tibet has been owned and occupied for half a century now. Acquisition by conquest is a very valid means of owning property. period.

China will fall like every other communist country. Communism is an evil that never really works out because its usually force fed to people at the barrel of a gun and requires total control over a population to work. Look at the Khmer Rouge, their “revolutionary” ideals warped them to kill almost a quarter of their own population, and some died because they took a single grain of rice. Communism is a totalitarian and evil system that would only work if everyone seriously wanted to live in a communist society. China has perpretrated so many evils, whether it is in Sudan, Tibet, Burma or within its own borders. I’m shocked they are even allowed to host the olympic games. While I don’t agree with ordained monastics protesting, I can feel their frustration. To have to denounce the Dalai Lama and pay homage to the communist atheist cronies in Beijing is degrading to them and their religion. Thats the problem with communism, its so corrupt the only way it works to any degree is to crush any and all dissent and force people to live in fear for their lives. I will not be watching the olympic games as long as they are held in a country that has such little regard for human life.
