Mo-ped stolen from bike rack outside Main Library

A blue-and-silver Schwinn mo-ped was reported stolen from a Main Library bike rack sometime between 2 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 53-year-old male student reported the theft when he noticed his mo-ped missing from the bike rack after returning to the library from his residence, where he had left the key to the mo-ped’s lock, McGlothian-Taylor said. The mo-ped does not require a key to start the engine, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects, and the case is still under investigation.
