Okay I’ll save the comments about these idiots not locking their doors. How the hell do you not wake up when you are in a room smaller than a prison cell and someone is walking around stealing your shit?

First off Akers dorms have 3 rooms with the bedrooms separated by a concrete wall from the living area where the stuff was probably located so maybe you should educate yourself a little Steve.

And it’s very possible for someone to walk into a room take something and leave without being noticed, maybe we should try it on your dorm room and see if you wake up. Instead of berating kids for not locking their doors why don’t we worry about why there’s no security at Akers when people continue to get robbed (I know this isn’t the first time). It’s unbelievable but at some colleges people don’t even lock their doors because they trust people not to steal their stuff, that’s the way it should be.

Kasim, seriously, what kind of security could MSU possibly implement other than mentors doing rounds at night? Problems keep happening INSIDE of Akers dorm rooms. Maybe we SHOULD be focusing on the individuals that it keeps happening to because they KEEP leaving their doors unlocked.

Security is personal responsibility #1 in life, and a lot worse things could be happening to these kids than just getting robbed when they leave themselves so damn vulnerable.

Kasim – Yes I am well aware, except they are not separated by doors or any other barrier to block the sound. Those doors are heavy as hell and don’t open quietly… nor is someone quiet walking around inside of a dark room who doesn’t know the lay out.

Flash you are still as dumb as you have always been. My guess is that you are probably a communications or psychology major.

Flash…you’re right, not everyone is used to living with thieves.

I lived in dorms for two years and in apartments offcampus for two years and not once had anything stolen, let alone because of unlocked doors.

I second Steve’s analysis of Flash in his last post. Although my guess is packaging major…“if you can’t hack it, pack it”.

Kasim “Instead of berating kids for not locking their doors why don’t we worry about why there’s no security at Akers when people continue to get robbed (I know this isn’t the first time).” A lock is SECURITY, dumb ass. Or maybe you think Akers should hire personal security guards for all the students that choose not to use the locks they are provided.

This is priceless. It makes me laugh on the inside. It is a total gold mine inside these MSU dorms. I truly wish when I was at state I didnt have a conscience. I would still be selling these little rich kids $2000 laptops left unlocked and unattended. Wise up students. Your stuff is going to continue to be stolen if you are an idiot. Its the worlds own little way of darwinism.
