Ratchuk signs with Flyers
Sophomore leaves with two years of eligibility remaining
The MSU hockey team lost its second underclassman Friday as sophomore defenseman Michael Ratchuk left school early to sign with the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers.
Ratchuk, a second round pick of the Flyers in the 2006 NHL Draft, will report to the Flyers American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms.
Ratchuk led MSU defenseman in points this season with 25 while playing in all 42 games.
