The credit crisis came from the fact that banks loaned lots of money to people they shouldn’t have because those people couldn’t pay it back. I guess you could blame Bush for not doing anything about predatory lending for his entire term, even though wise people were pleading with him to up regulation of the housing market. We don’t know yet. But I think the commentator above has it right. This is a result of the sub prime mortgage crisis. Money just isn’t as easy to come by as it has been.
