h3. Cash stolen from vendor’s craft booth at festival
A 41-year-old woman with no university affiliation had $700 in cash stolen out of her apron at the East Lansing Art Festival around 11 a.m. Saturday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The woman, a resident of Holly, was running a craft booth at the festival and placed the cash in an apron that she put behind the booth.
The apron was left unattended. When the woman returned to the apron, the money was gone, McGlothian-Taylor said.
There are no suspects.
Student’s iPhone stolen from IM Sports-West
A 23-year-old student had his iPhone stolen from IM Sports-West around 3 p.m. Friday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student left his iPhone under his sweatshirt and hat in a corner of the gym and went to play basketball. When he returned to his belongings, the iPhone was missing, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The estimated value of the iPhone was $400.
