James Pivarnik, a MSU kinesiology and epidemiology professor, was voted as president-elect of the American College of Sports Medicine.
He will begin his one-year term as ACSM president-elect in June when the organization holds its annual meeting.

Pivarnik also is MSU’s University Intellectual Integrity Officer, director of the Human Energy Research Laboratory and the Center for Physical Activity and Health.
He will assume presidency in June 2009, and will serve as spokesman for the group.
