Road reconstruction ahead of deadline

The Abbot/Chandler Road reconstruction project is ahead of schedule and should be completed no later than August, according to a city of East Lansing news bulletin released Thursday.

This is ahead of schedule from the October date that was originally planned.

The northbound lane of Abbot/Chandler Road has been closed from Lake Lansing Road to Coleman Road since January 4 in order to replace the existing two-lane roadway with a new four-lane, two-way road.
