Route construction projects limit drivers traveling on Chandler Road

May 12, 2008

Drivers traveling south on Chandler Road toward campus will not be able to turn left onto Lake Lansing Road beginning Tuesday because of construction, according to the Department of Public Works.

Drivers will be able to turn left again beginning May 27.

The Chandler and Abbot roads construction project began in January. Since then, the northbound lane has been closed from Lake Lansing Road to Coleman Road. The lane will remain closed until completion of the project.

When the project is finished, the existing two-lane roadway will be replaced by a four-lane road.
