Tim Allen has been named director of football operations at MSU, head coach Mark Dantonio announced Wednesday. Allen, who has 19 years of college experience with Kansas and Minnesota, replaces Mike Vollmar, who resigned May 21 to become the associate athletics director for football at Alabama, where he’ll work under former MSU and current Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Allen and Dantonio worked together from 1991-94 at Kansas under former head coach Glen Mason.
