Accident closes U.S. 127 early Wednesday morning

A fatal accident shut down northbound U.S. 127 near Jolly Road at about 1:30 a.m.

Four people were sent to Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital following the three-car crash, and three people were released since that time. Another person is in serious, but stable, condition, Lansing police Lt. Noel Garcia said.

The cause of the accident has not been confirmed, and police do not believe alcohol was a factor.
