An 18-year-old Bloomfield Hills man was sentenced to 30 days in the Ingham County Jail on Wednesday for his participation in the Cedar Fest riot.
Phillip Garcia, who pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor offense of damaging property during the riot, was sentenced by 54-B East Lansing District Court Judge David L. Jordon.
Garcia is required to pay a total of $2,214.40 in costs and fees.
Of these fines, $1,074.40 are restitution fees to the city of East Lansing for police work expenses, emergency medical and fire services, as well as damage done to personal property during the Cedar Fest riot.
The court also entered an order prohibiting Garcia from enrolling or entering any Michigan public community college or university campus for one year.
