Livonia man sentenced to 21 days in jail for participation in Cedar Fest

A 23-year-old male from Livonia was sentenced to 21 days in the Ingham County Jail on Wednesday for his participation in the Cedar Fest riot.

Mark Danner, who entered a plea of guilty to the offense of
obstructing and hindering a police officer during the riot, was
sentenced by 54-B East Lansing District Court Judge Richard Ball.
Danner was credited with seven days in jail, which he was required to serve after violating a bond condition that prohibited him from consuming alcohol while his case was pending.

Danner is required to pay total of $1,614.40 in costs and fees.

Of these fines, $1,074.40 are restitution fees to the city of East
Lansing for police work expenses, emergency medical and fire services, as well as damage done to personal property during the Cedar Fest riot.

The court also entered an order prohibiting Danner from enrolling or entering any Michigan public community college or university campus for one year.

I don’t understand the unfair sentencing. This kid received less time and a smaller fine than some of the others who were simply there and not drinking or resisting/obstructing. Why?? Some of these kids are getting railroaded.
