Presumptive democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama and his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., are scheduled to hold a rally in Battle Creek this weekend.
Obama and Biden likely will visit Saturday, but Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Mark Brewer said the official date and time have not been set.
The campaign stop is part of a post-convention tour of several states, Brewer said.
Brewer said Michigan is likely to receive near-weekly visits from Obama, McCain, or their vice presidential nominees as the election nears.
“We expect to see a lot more of them in Michigan not only on Labor Day weekend, but later in the campaign,” he said.
