After the MSU football team defeated Notre Dame 23-7 on Saturday, the trailer behind the north endzone of Spartan Stadium where postgame interviews are held started filling up.

One by one, members of MSU’s offensive line took the stage before senior running back Javon Ringer finally entered and stood at the podium.

“Like I said before, I can do nothing without these guys standing next to me,” said Ringer, who rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries. “It was a great team win and we were very, very dominant up front on both sides of the ball.”

Awesome job by the whole team on Saturday. I was really, really impressed by something I have not seen in a long time from this team – Discipline. As in, no drive-killing penalties. The only offsides call was for an illegal formation. With the exception of some questionable pass interference calls, the Spartans played perfectly, and shined some light on a very vulnerable Notre Dame. If MSU can keep avoiding turnovers and stay focused on defense, I see some very realistic good things for this team.

Amen on the no stupid penalties comment. Those has always been the Spartans’ Achilles Heel (allow me to mix my Greek history/ mythology)—personal fouls (on both sides of the ball) that send the ball 15 yards the wrong way. If Dantonio continues to find a way to steer clear of those…who knows how far this team can go.

Sure would be nice to see Hoyer and the passing game get untracked, though…

I agree with Dudes and David, above. I was biting my nails waiting for the collapse that didn’t come. Thank GOD. The discipline that “Dudes” and David talk to was apparent, and that’s all about MD. Great job.

As I blogged, so did the Spartan’s respond. I blooged for the O line to play their best game. They did!
I blooged for the D line to play with an attitude and to put pressure on Clausen. They did!
I blogged for ball control, equating to clock control. They did!
I blooged for Hoyer to play within himself and for the game not to rest on his shoulders. That happened!

Very proud of the performance. Good things to come if we continue down this path.

GREAT GAME ALL AROUND!!

Mad props to Ringer, not for his performance, but for his humbleness and class of bringing the entire O-line to the press conference.

We all know that little mikey hart wouldn’t do that.

On a negative note, Hoyer still looks TERRIBLE, yes he didn’t throw any INTS but he had at least 5 passes that were 20feet over a receivers head.

If he can improve and we continue the discipline, 10-2 is very realistic, but with Hoyer at the controls I say 8-4 is more likely.

Of course 2 years ago we were 4-8 so 8-4 isn’t that bad…..

	GO GREEN!
GO WHITE!!

Anyone else catch the stories about the ND coaching staff cheating?? They had a lap top in the coaches box which is against NCAA rules. It was confiscated around half-time. Fat charlie denied that the coaches had anything to do with it…it was an intern.

Sure it was……once a patriot always a patriot. What a load of crap.

Also Matt Trannon came up to him during the game and punched him in his fat face…………allegedly.
