Welcome Week should not be a full week long. Having graduated from MSU and going through a shortened Welcome Week, I was not ill prepared to start my first semester. It should not matter how long Welcome Week is, but sadly, a few bad students out there who feel it is necessary to excessively party (note I said excessively), are going to ruin things for the rest of the students who actually care about their grades and the community.

People that have big parties live in houses or apartments… not dorms. These people move in whenever the landlord says they can, which is usually earlier than move-in day. So, how will this stop them from drinking?
Last year it was nice to have a few days to get used to stuff here, they really should think about the students who are responsible instead of the minority of them that abuse their time before classes.
