However, I’m getting really sick of The State News building up the notion that “this is the year” every single year. I was a freshman at MSU in 2001. That makes me the youngest class to actually see us beat Michigan. Isn’t there something wrong with that?? Every year during Michigan week there is article after article about how we match up better, we’ll out coach them, they’re having a down year, blah blah blah. We, as a program, need to start walking the walk. I give Coach Dantonio loads of credit for how we played MOST of last year’s game, but it didn’t get the job done – and there is no excuse why it didn’t.
