A 20-year-old Grand Rapids man was sentenced Monday to 15 days in the Ingham County Jail for his participation in April’s Cedar Fest riot.

MacKenzie J. Rieth, who pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor offense of disorderly conduct by assembling for a riot, was sentenced by East Lansing 54-B District Court Judge David L. Jordon.

Rieth also is required to complete 24 months probation and 80 hours of community service.

The court also issued an order requiring him to pay $2,334.40 in total fines and costs. Of the fines, $1,074.40 is restitution to the city of East Lansing for police expenses and property damage incurred during the Cedar Fest riot.
