State College, Pa. —- Playing on the program’s biggest stage in 18 years, the No. 17 MSU football team stumbled and came to a crashing fall under the bright lights of Beaver Stadium, losing in convincing fashion to No. 7 Penn State 49-18.

That loss hurt, here’s hoping that everything can get messed up in the top rankings to put Penn State in the bid for National Championship! Go Lions, but Spartans had a great season!

	Go Green
Go White
Go Spartans

and most of all thank you coach D! What a blessing, for sure!

any team that competed as well as this team did this year will never be losers in my mind. At least we didnt go down with nine losses and have the worst record in school history.

Great Season Spartans. Keep it up we are going to a great bowl game. you earned it.

And maybe if Dantonio starts Cousins, we might actually have a chance to win said great bowl game.

After the glow of the nine win season wears off, lets think about what Sparty actually accomplished this year: we won every game we were supposed to. Which is good, until you realize that that was against mid-majors, a Notre Dame team that is falling over itself, and a, to be charitable, weak Big 10 field. Ever ranked opponent we played beat us, and in two of the three games, routed us.

That doesn’t make our chances in the bowl game look good. We were the king of the mediocre in the Big 10 this year. That’s our main accomplishment. Its a notable accomplishment after the stumble bum tenures of Williams and Smith, but lets not think we’re there yet.

We did well, although the wins were against teams that didn’t have much. It was a GRAND difference to see the heart out there! I think Hoyer is a good QB but I’d like to see Cousins play, because I think he’ll be riding the bench for some time! Regardless, we can win the bowl game and I BET Hoyer needs to start and win!

	Go White!
Go Green!
Go Spartans!

Tony,

Can you step back for a moment and give this team some credit? If you’ve watched Spartan football in the last few years you know that beating the teams we are supposed to beat is an accomplishment in and of itself. Yes, we lost to all the ranked teams we played. Yes, the Big Ten is not that great. And yes, we still have work to do. But that should not take away from the fact that we have a 9-3 record, which is a pretty damn good in my book. Regardless of how good or bad the teams are that you play, you still have to win the games you are supposed to win. I, for one, am going to enjoy this season, and will be looking forward to an even better one next year.

Thank you Coach D and all the Spartan players for a great season! Now go out there and win us a bowl game!

GO GREEN! GO WHITE! LET’S GO STATE!

In all fairness … Penn State was destroying and blowing out all teams (for the most part) all year point wise. I mean look at their stats.

	DATE OPPONENT W-L (CONF) RESULT
8/30 Coastal Carolina W 66-10
9/06 Oregon State W 45-14
9/13 Syracuse W 55-13
9/20 Temple 45-3
9/27 No. 22 Illinois W 38-24
10/04 Purdue W 20-6
10/11 Wisconsin W 48-7
10/18 Michigan W 46-17
10/25 No. 9 Ohio State W 13-6
11/15 Indiana W 34-7
11/22 No. 15 Michigan State W 49-18

So let’s give credit where credit is due. Penn State was a great team this year. While I love my spartans I can at least take a look back at the large picture and say “we played hard, but Penn State was just a better team.” Nice game Nittany Lions.
