Female student cited for possession of marijuana

A female student was cited for possession of marijuana after she admitted to having the drug in her purse during a traffic stop at about 11:30 Monday night, MSU police officer Anthony Willis said.

MSU police pulled over the student’s vehicle on Harrison Road for an equipment violation. The officer smelled marijuana as he approached the vehicle and asked if any of the three passengers had the drug. The female passenger said she had “several grams” in her purse, Willis said.

The driver was given a warning for the equipment violation but was not punished further. The female student was the only passenger cited for marijuana possession, Willis said.

If they were in a mobile meth lab, this might have been news worthy. A couple grams of weed in a girls purse is not.

At least he didn’t take her to jail for it. Those cops are dicks but not dicks to the extreme.
