The same handful of students actively work to challenge unfair administration policies that impact the overwhelming majority of MSU’s 45,000-plus student population. Dramatic tuition hikes will impact most students — in fact for many, sharp increases in tuition will effectively end their ability to afford college altogether. Yet beer kegs and basketball sports games has been the only thing our beloved Spartans find worthy of hitting the streets and fighting over. I think this is the sad irony raised by Ms. Vogelsong.
