Laptops used for AOP stolen from Case Hall

Two laptops, valued at $250 each, were reported stolen between 5 p.m. Thursday and 9:45 a.m. Friday from the Club Spartan Room in Case Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The items, two silver Dell Latitudes, belonged to MSU and were being used for MSU’s Academic Orientation Program, she said.

There are no suspects and the incident is under investigation.

Sorry to hear that this is still going on. I really hope they catch the jerk that is taking these laptops. Hope that you can come up with an idea that will catch this thief off guard. Best Wishes.

You people do know that electronics, especially computers lose their value over time? I thought that was basic economics. And the fact that they are using the computers for AOP show that they are old and aren’t used for much. Think about a 10 year old laptop, it probably cost 3 grand once, but would probalby sell for 10 bucks now. But still, thievery is not acceptable and those responsible should be punished

Go after so many laptops? Don’t they know that people are on the look out for what they may do? I guess as long as they get away with it, then they will keep doing it. Something needs to be done to throw them off guard, like a hidden device that will track them down or something, at least that’s what I think….

I wouldn't want to losse my laptop
