Fresh Michigan-grown produce and other local goods will be available to students and residents at the new East Lansing Farmer’s Market, which starts Sunday. “There was a farmer’s market years ago and we actually canceled it because of low participation,” East Lansing Communications Coordinator Ami Van Antwerp said. “Staff has been talking about it internally for years. Finally we … decided to launch it this year.”

I will have to see if I can make it some time to the E.L. Farmer’s Market, this summer. It’s a nice drive to MSU, lots of country to view on the way.

I love to eat a peach that is so ripe that the juice runs down my arm. I love blueberries, cherries, strawberries, watermelon and melon…put them all together, and put Stoneyfield Farm “Banilla” yogart on top..DELICIOUS! You will love it, and it is a healthy and very tasty treat. ENJOY!

..are good too. Asparagus sauted in a pan with a little bit of garlic and olive oil, and then you add some low sodium soy sauce near the end, yummy! Cut the asparagus in about one inch cubes. Trust me you will be suprised at how good it tastes!

..To buy flowers at the Farmers Market. I love to put on a pretty sundress and enjoy the sunshine, while I shop and nibble on samples, while deciding what to buy.
