From giving 55-year-old Brody Hall a face-lift to outfitting walls inside Owen Graduate Hall with bamboo, construction crews have spent the first half of summer working toward a revived campus.

University engineer Robert Nestle said summer construction is progressing on schedule and without difficulty, as several projects near completion and other large-scale projects break ground.

“There’s no question things are slowing down some on campus, but there are several new projects that are moving ahead,” he said.

All we had to do it was increase state income taxes to 4.35% in the middle of our one state-recession in 1997! Now these idiots led by the Grand Ignoramus George Cushingberry are advocating for a progressive income tax in the middle of a global economic depression. Why don’t you save your constituents time and suffering and buy them pistols and bullets out of your own pocket Cushingberry!?

The state income tax increase had nothing to do with the construction projects on campus. University funding was cut in the same time period. If you’re going to make statements that are equivalent to word vomit, at least make sure you’ve got the facts straight.
