Actress Drew Barrymore will visit Bonaventure Skating Rink at 3 p.m. Friday at 24505 Halsted Road, Farmington Hills, to promote her new movie, “Whip It,” according to the rink’s Web site. The new movie will be playing on large TV screens at the skating rink while the first 955 people admitted will be able to skate with Barrymore. The doors will open at 3 p.m. and close at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free.
“Whip It,” which premieres Oct. 2, was shot in Michigan, and is about a roller derby in Texas.
