Hawkeyes come to E.L. as lone unbeaten Big Ten team; Buckeyes upset at Purdue

Purdue 26, Ohio State 18 — Purdue quarterback Joey Elliott sparkled while Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor stumbled, as the Boilermakers upset No. 7 Ohio State 26-18 at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind. Elliot threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns for Purdue (2-5 overall, 1-2 Big Ten) while Pryor had four of Ohio State’s five turnovers, as the Buckeyes (5-2, 3-1) lost to an unranked team for the first time since 2007.
Iowa 20, Wisconsin 10 — No. 11 Iowa shut out Wisconsin in the second half to rally from a halftime deficit and beat the Badgers 20-10 on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.
The Hawkeyes (7-0, 3-0) tied the game on a 24-yard touchdown reception by Tony Moeaki while the tight end also had an important catch in the fourth quarter to set up a 48-yard-field goal by Adam Robinson, putting the Badgers (5-2, 2-2) down two scores.
The Hawkeyes come to East Lansing to play the Spartans at 7:05 p.m. Saturday for the top spot in the conference. The Hawkeyes have just one loss since MSU beat them 16-13 last year.
Indiana 27, Illinois 14 — Illinois remained winless in the Big Ten, losing 27-14 to Indiana at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Ind.
Ben Chappell led the Hoosiers (4-3, 1-2) with 333 yards and three touchdowns (both career highs) as Indiana broke a three-game losing streak. Juice Williams went 22-for-37 with 258 yards and two touchdowns for the Fighting Illini (1-5, 0-4).
Penn State 20, Minnesota 0 — Penn State’s defense held Minnesota to fewer than 140 total yards to lead the No. 14 Nittany Lions to a 20-0 win against the Golden Gophers at Beaver Stadium.
Daryll Clark threw for 287 yards and a touchdown for the Nittany Lions (6-1, 2-1), while Evan Royster rushed for 137 yards on 23 carries. Minnesota (4-3, 2-2) finished with 138 total yards and only 37 on the ground.
Michigan 63, Delaware State 6 — Michigan put up a school-record 727 total yards against Football Bowl Subdivision opponent Delaware State, routing the Hornets 63-6 Saturday in Ann Arbor.
The Wolverines (5-2, 1-2) matched a school record with 28 points in the first quarter — their first touchdown coming less than three minutes into the game — as they jumped to a 49-3 halftime lead over the Hornets (1-4).
Records indicated that for the first time in program history, two brothers (Kevin and Kelvin Grady) scored in a single game for the Wolverines.
