After the announcement Monday that U2 will perform at Spartan Stadium this summer as part of their North American “360” tour, The State News caught up with students around East Lansing and gathered opinions about what they thought.

We asked what they had to say about booking such a well-recognized band.

“I don’t like U2, (and) I don’t really care about them coming to Spartan Stadium.”

Mark Miller

sociology junior

“I don’t really listen to them, but obviously it’s a big event. They’re a pretty big band globally. I’m sure there will be a lot of people who go see it.”

Chris Hardigan

human biology senior

“I think it’s awesome that U2’s coming to MSU. I’ll definitely be going.”

Krista Whitten

kinesiology junior

“I think it’s cool for the community. I can see how they’d be able to mix generations with the crowd.”

Alexi Callaway

business pre-law sophomore
