Police Brief 10/05/09

By Brittany Shammas (Last updated: 10/04/09 11:09pm)

A 46-year-old Sunfield, Mich., woman caused $900 worth of damage to a 2008 Pontiac G5 when she struck it with her 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee at about 9:35 a.m. Thursday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The accident occurred at the traffic signal at the intersection of Farm Lane and Mount Hope Road when the woman backed up to move into the other lane, not seeing the Pontiac G5. The damage consisted of a hole to the Pontiac’s front bumper, caused when the hitch of the Grand Cherokee hit it.

The Sunfield woman was held at fault for the incident.
