Police release identity in weekend death

Police have identified the Ortonville, Mich., man who died Saturday night as 25-year-old William Andrew Briton.

Briton died Saturday night after falling and hitting his head in an apartment on the 400 block of Gunson Street, East Lansing police Capt. Tom Johnstone said.

Witnesses told police Briton had consumed alcohol and was inhaling nitrous oxide when he fell, hitting his head.

Police were called at about 10:30 p.m. and arrived minutes later, Johnstone said. Briton was not breathing when officers and paramedics arrived and attempts to regain a pulse through CPR were not successful.

An autopsy was conducted today, but a cause of death will not be available until more tests have concluded, Ingham County Medical Examiner Dean Sienko said.

Not going to start anything and not going to feel good about it, but I’m certainly not going to feel bad. Huffing and drinking? See ya.

Dumb guy. Didn’t realize that the age in which invincibility expires is 23.
