Strathmore pays debt owed on one City Center II property

By Kate Jacobson (Last updated: 10/20/09 11:51pm)

Strathmore Development Company has managed to pay off some of its debt owed to the city of East Lansing, said East Lansing Treasurer Jill Martinez.

According to Martinez, Strathmore has paid off one of the properties slated for the City Center II project. The property located at 100 W. Grand River Ave. has been paid off as of Oct. 15, which cost Strathmore about $41,000.

Strathmore still owes about $87,000 to the city. City Manager Ted Staton said council will not consider a fifth extension until the remaining debt has been paid.
