UAB to host roller skating '80s night

The University Activities Board will host a Rockin’ Retro Rollerpalooza from 9 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Demonstration Hall.
The free roller skating event is 1980s theme, and participants are to dress in ’80s attire. There will be a costume contest at 10:30 p.m. with prizes, such as gift cards.
The event also will feature a DJ, party favors and a limited supply of free skate rentals. Participants also are invited to bring their own roller skates or blades.
