College is a whole new world for many freshmen traveling campus for the first time. The State News sat down with one of these brave explorers to get a glimpse, in 15 questions or less, at a new face on campus and his perspective of his new frontier.

MEET KEVIN MCELROY

1. Who’s the one person you never want to meet?

The cast of “Jersey Shore.”

2. What’s your least favorite song?

Anything by Lady Gaga.

3. If you could be any animal, what one would you be?

A bald eagle.

4. What’s your favorite historical event?

When Hawaii became a state.

5. How do you feel about vampires?

I’m strongly against all vampires.

6. If you could try one thing once that is usually fatal and have no repercussions, what would you do?

Jump out of a plane with no parachute.

7. What’s your favorite thing to do when procrastinating?

Play a good game of solitaire.

8. What’s the ringtone on your phone?

The “Seinfeld” theme song.

9. What’s the top song played on your iPod?

“September” by Earth, Wind & Fire.

10. If you were the opposite sex for one day, what would you do?

I would go out and buy a bunch of stuff on my parents’ credit cards.

11. What’s your weirdest dorm experience so far?

There was a homeless guy lurking in our community bathroom after all the dorm doors had been locked.

12. What is your dream job?

To work at a resort somewhere warm.
