Students press charges against each other
Two MSU students got into an altercation in Case Hall on March 5 that led to an assault, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
A 19-year-old female MSU student said she and a 19-year-old man from Livonia got into the altercation after the man fell asleep in her dorm room while intoxicated. The man was drinking and fell asleep at the foot of the woman’s bed. When he was woken up, he became “obnoxious” and the woman kicked him, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The woman complained of neck and back pain and the man said he had bruising and scrapes as a result of the fight. Both have pressed charges against one another and the charges are going to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office, McGlothian-Taylor said.

Come on people, you are taking each other to court over this?? Why don’t you just call it a truce and move on with your lives? What a waste of money, I guess you can afford to pay a lawyer over a few bumps and bruises and possibly miss classes as well, ha?? For what, to prove some type of assinine point?? Come on, just make up and never speak to one another again. You are only hurting yourselves by going to court over this. How stupid, time for the both of you to grow up!

You’re acting like children, not young adults, by pressing charges against one another. You mean to tell me that your parents are looking forward to more expenses, as if college isn’t costly enough? Come on and use the brain that you were born with. It is obvious that someone pressed charges so then other person had to press charges too. Both of you need to let this drop and move on with your lives. You’re only hurting your selves. Just some advice, from one wise cookie, think about it, I have lived long enough to know what life holds ahead. Make your lives easier and the lives of your parents easier & let this drop.

There is more to the story than what the state news published. Obviously. She didn’t just kick the kid, she hit him in the nuts and then scratched his face until he bled. She’s INSANE and needs to be kicked out of Case ASAP. I can’t believe ResLife is allowing her to continue living there even now.

Is that true? I feel sorry for this guy, how embarrasing to walk around with scratches on your face, not good! And to be kicked in the nuts, ouch!! Did he so anything to provoke this?????
