College of nursing gets grant to expand

April 1, 2010

U.S. Sens. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., and Carl Levin, D-Mich., announced the MSU College of Nursing was awarded about $7 million Wednesday to expand research facilities.

The funds will help expand the Nursing Research Center. The center will be located next to the Life Sciences Building.

“This grant will further solidify Michigan as a critical center of medical research, serving our state and the nation by training top-notch nurses,” Levin said.

The grant is funded through the National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Research Resources by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
