Man steals other man’s $3 backpack
A 50-year-old man with no MSU affiliation said his backpack was stolen Sunday from the soccer fields near the Veterinary Medical Center, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The man said he was playing frisbee in the field and left his bag at the edge of the field. The backpack was valued at $3 and had $6 in cash, a wallet with ID and a cell phone valued at $10.
A suspect allegedly took the bag and left in a tan-colored vehicle. The make and model of the car is unknown, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 50s, 6-feet-2 inches tall and about 240 pounds.
The incident is under investigation.
