Bicycle stolen from Hubbard Hall storage room
A 19-year-old female MSU student reported her bicycle stolen May 7 at South Hubbard Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student stored her bike in the hall’s storage room during the afternoon of May 5 and noticed the door to the room closed and locked. When she returned May 7, the bike was missing. McGlothian-Taylor said it was unclear whether the bike was secured to a fixed object.
The bike was a blue Schwinn valued at $200 and was registered with the MSU police. There are no suspects and the incident is under investigation, McGlothian-Taylor said.

Wow, this is the same thing from the police briefs the other day. Bikes are not safe in these rooms unless they’re locked to “a fixed object,” as Sgt. Florene says. They really need to update these bike rooms to have bars or something you can lock your bike to.

This is most definetly a WOW, Jason B.! THIS WOW is s WOW about how dumb can people be? Come on let’s learn from our mistakes!! 2 Police Briefs back to back, about the same thing. There is a problem, that Needs to be corrected, so correct it ASAP! It isn’t fair to these students. I think the University should be held responsibile. This is a situation of laziness. Someone NOT wanting to think of a solution and instead allowing these poor students to suffer the consequence. I think we need to protest, enough is enough. NOW find something quick that these BIKES can be locked to. Please.
