A shooting took place at the Crossing Place apartment complex Saturday morning injuring one person, East Lansing police Sgt. Scott Wrigglesworth said.
Police were unable to provide further comment about the shooting.

Saturday’s shooting is the second to occur at Crossing Place in the past two months. The first occurred Dec. 11, 2010.
The same night, Adrian House, a 20-year-old Detroit man was found dead from a gunshot wound in his car on the 1600 block of Abbot Road. Police have not named a suspect in the shootings and still are investigating the incidents.
Saturday’s shooting took place on the first floor of building one said Tiffani Schultz, who lives on the third floor of building one.
Schultz said she heard the shots at approximately 1:15 a.m.
Schultz said she saw the shooter running through the parking lot carrying a rifle. She described him as a tall, skinny, black man dressed in all black.
“I didn’t know what to think,” Schultz said. “I was not expecting to see someone with a gun running through my parking lot.”
Schultz said the incident started from the a party that took place on the first floor of the building.
First floor residents declined to comment on the incident.
Schultz said after the shooting Saturday as well as the shooting that took place last month, she does not feel safe living in Crossing Place.
“Unless the management does something to fix this more than last time, I am not living here next year,” she said.
