Linthicum receives probation stemming from Colorado incident

April 13, 2011

Junior tight end Brian Linthicum was sentenced to 12 months probation stemming from a March 10 incident when he was arrested and charged with third-degree assault and eluding arrest in Aspen, Colo.

The charge has been lowered to harassment.

Linthicum is required to complete 40 hours of public service in Colorado, complete an alcohol awareness class, participate in eight hours of anger management, and pay standard costs for the court, which have been estimated to be less than $1,000, according to a clerk in Pitkin County Court.

If Linthicum completes he terms, the guilty plea will be removed and the charge will be dismissed.

Freshman linebacker Max Bullough, who allegedly was involved in the incident as well, was charged with a minor in possession and eluding arrest. He is next expected to appear in court next Tuesday for his advisement.

Linthicum and Bullough were held out of the first two days of spring practice in March.
