Two days after hundreds of “Do You Agree With Kirk?” signs appeared on campus, senior quarterback Kirk Cousins talked about what it meant following Tuesday’s practice.

Cousins said on Thursday, Nov. 3, a few days before the Minnesota game, he will be speaking at the MSU Auditorium about his faith as part of Cru, a Christian group for college students.

“(Faith is) the most important thing in my life,” Cousins said. “More important than football, more important than school, more important than any accomplishments I have here at Michigan State would be my faith in Jesus Christ and his influence on my life.”

The signs appeared on campus late early Monday morning and were posted on doors in residence halls, inside classrooms and written with chalk on the cement.

The school’s all-time winningest quarterback encouraged his fellow classmates to attend, whether they support his views or not.

“The question that they’re posing to the student body and to anybody here who wants to come is do you agree with Kirk on that,” he said. “If you don’t, you’re welcome to come. If you do, you’re welcome to come. And if you’re not sure, please come. It’s open to anyone.”

Neither Cousins nor Cru have announced a time for the event yet.
