Armed robbery at local Jimmy John's

An armed robbery took place at 11:28 p.m. Tuesday at Jimmy John’s, 4790 S. Hagadorn Road, leaving none injured and an unknown amount of money was taken, Meridian police confirmed.

The suspect, a black male with a thin build standing approximately 6 feet tall, entered the store, displayed a handgun to employees and robbed the business.

He exited Jimmy John’s through the back door and left in a vehicle waiting for him on Hannah Boulevard.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, grey sweatpants, a dark hooded sweatshirt, red sneakers and a pair of avaiator sunglasses.

The incident is still under investigation by Meridian Township Police.
